End of life batteries enhancement


The company has extensive know-how in the field of recycling end-of-life batteries through the implementation of both mechanical pre-treatments and physical-chemical treatments aimed at recovering material with high added value (Li, Mn, Co, Ni, Ag, Zn). The company has two patents for the treatment of this waste (EP2450991 A1: Plant and process for the treatment of exhausted accumulators and batteries; EP1684369B1: Process and plant for the treatment of run-down batteries).

The great experience acquired over the years has made Eco Recycling a leading company in the treatment of the following types of batteries:

  • Alkaline batteries (Zn-Mn);
  • Lithium-ion batteries (LCO, LMO, NMC and LFP);
  • Primary lithium batteries (Li(0)/MnO2);
  • Nickel-metal hydride batteries (Ni-MH);
  • Silver oxide batteries (Ag-Zn).
